Replacement TID advice please.
« on: 25 February 2009, 19:23:50 »

I need a replacement TID for my mig.I have seen one on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=110344065211

Mine has just the single yellow connector and looks the same as this one. This one has come off a 2001 3.2.Mine is a 1998 2.0 GLS so would it be compatible?

I have part numbers for my TID but the seller hasnt replied to my question yet and there's only just over a day left on the auction.

I think they all look identical, if yours has a yellow plug, then that is the only one that will do.  I stand to be corrected of course.  ::)

Hi,
if plugs are identical it'll work, but you need it to be reprogrammed to fit your engine, wheels size, ... in order to have right values of m/gal, average speed, and so.

It should be done with tech2, ...

Perhaps it'd be well worth wait for a "same car" one.

Good luck and regards,
Raśl.

P.D. Sorry, I was talking about MID not TID, in that case I don't know.  :'(
