Brake Fluid Capacity Full system
« on: 27 February 2009, 11:56:24 »

Going to renew the brake fluid on Miggy along with disc and pad renewal on all wheels. I need to know how much fluid to get I've looked everywhere possible on the forum, and even in Haynes without success, just a rough guide will do. I believe Dot 4 to be the proper grade.Hope someone knows, I'll simply think of a number then double it, and surplus left will be on garage shelves, along with everything else as I am a hoarder and can't help it  :( :'( Thanks all, :y :y

It's best to buy only what you need, as well, as it deteriorates nearly as badly in a half empty bottle as it does sitting in your fluid reservoir.

I got some on TC last time I was at the stealers and, IIRC, it was very reasonably preiced.

I think Haynes says .5L which is not enough in practice. I would go a for a 1 L bottle.

Take a look into the 'Omega FAQ' section.
Under the sub-heading at the top of the first page, click on 'Common Acronyms' - they're listed there.
