Couple of simple queries
« on: 28 February 2009, 15:47:03 »

Hi

I've just got my new (old) V6 but its not got a proper key, nor master. the fob has run out of battery and lost its pairing. How do I go about re-pairing it to the car?

Can i somehow transplant the old immobiliser parts form my old donor omega (with a master and spare key present) to the new one?

Finally, how do I remove the plastic/chrome door trim on the rear drivers side door to replace it? I have a donor car.

Thx guys

To resync key - ign to II, then press the buttons a couple of times. Doors will lock then unlock to confirm.  This will not work for new keys that have not been programmed to car.

Swapping immobiliser/Alarm ECU/transponders/fobs is going to be harder and more expensive than just reprogramming the keys.

Its unlikely you'll get the strip off without damaging it.

Hokay, guess I'll live with the 1 fob then.

I'll have a practice on the other doors before it goes to the scrappers.

Thanx mate.
