Sell the V6 & buy a diseasal .... easier all round.  :y

Easier to put Elite trim into a lower spec diesel.

i dont mind doing the work as im a mechanic. just this elite ticks all the right boxes apart from the engine ::)

Lol, think if I was going to that level of trouble, I would pick a decent diesel engine which would exclude the BMW 2.5 lump!


I ahev wondered about the 3.0 Vectra one.

Am I right in thinking that that was in a few SAAB's as well?

Possibly, its an Isuzu lump.

But he drives like grandad.  And its a manual.

If I drive like grandad in my 3.0 auto, I reckon I could easily get low 30s on his commute.

nuts to fuel consumption, i am getting 24mpg out of my 2.2 at the moment, a nackered coil pack aint helping  ::)
