Changing/Repairing Omega Door Mirror
« on: 04 March 2009, 12:59:59 »

The nearside door mirror on my 52 plate omega (2.6 elite) has been snapped off (on the spindle where the mirror pivots on the base) and I wondered if anyone can tell me whether I could get into the unit to try a repair, or if they are sealed and I just need toget a whole new unit?

Thanks

speaking from past expierience mate, you could probably dismantle it by removing the glass to begin with, this should just pop off its balljoint, but be careful,as this is quite tricky sometimes, and can shatter the glass. After you have removed glass it should be pretty much self explanataryAlso i am pretty sure the painted casing should pop off.Hope this helps.
