Facelift Estate Rear Bumper on Preface Estate
« on: 06 March 2009, 17:42:51 »

Hi all,

I've seen this on a couple of cars (most recently a silver estate for sale on this forum - the seller left after selling it).

I understand that the Facelift mounting bracket/Bar is needed but I wanted to know:-

Given that the bumper is a different shape from the Prefacelift, does the lower section of the rear panel (beneath the trim strip) have to be removed to allow the Facelift bumper to fit?

My assumption is that the rear panel is one peice (from door edge back) but I dont know for sure.

Any one done this or know what is needed to make the fit?

Grateful for any advice on this one :)

Matthew

AFAIK it's just the bumper bar and cover (what most people class as the bumper) that need changing. I'm planning on doing mine soon.
