Complete carpet replacement

Obviously remove front seats, rear squab and associated trims. Do I need to remove the centre console :question

Yes would have thought everything needs to come out.Why are you replacing the carpet :-?

Blocked scuttle drain a while ago. :-[ Carpet had bad water stains.  :'( Got most of `em out. Light grey one fitted, managed to get a near immaculate black one.
