Another loss of coolant & poor tickover
« on: 24 March 2009, 18:13:18 »

I have started to lose coolant on my 52 reg 2.2. 67K
It is getting worse rapidly but no mayo on filler cap or odd oil colour engine management light on.
Runs like it only has 3 cylinders on tickover if hot (100 miles on M1)
Gave it Vauhall twice (2 different garages) they changed the plugs pressure tested it all 'OK' .Haven't a clue.
Fault light not defining problem :-/
Any suggestions please don't fancy getting the head gasket done if it ain't the problem

I also have the 2.2 saloon facelift, see my posts for the issues i had with mine, 3 head gaskets in the time i've had mine, last one i did myself, easy job i'd say (as a non mechanic)
Mine was losing water from the side of the block, previously i had a radiator with a leak and a heater bypass valve with a leak plus a bunged up heater matrix....
