Service advice appreciated
« on: 25 March 2009, 20:44:19 »

Hello all

I have had  a 1999 (V) 2.5 v6 CDX man est for 4 weeks now and all is still rosy (and I might have fallen in love).

It has done 113k, one owner before me and appears to be a Vx business lease car. History to 4 years / 80k inc cam belt at 70k. Zilch history for the last 6 years / 35k. Has tow bar but I've no idea if it has done any serious towing. The car looks, drives and feels as if it has been well cared for. Poss owner bought out the remainder of the Lease.

Soooo------

Cam belt and kit change booked
Oil and filter
Sparks
coolant

Basic lube (hinges locks etc) I'll do myself. (No facilities for anything more difficult)

Can anyone comment and add to this list? On a limited budget what are the next most important things to do?

Hi Ian, if you are having the cam belt and tensioners done get the water pump done at the same time, while its easy to get to.
