Well vauxhalls did do a trans cooler mainly for the 2.2 2.6 3.2 petrol engines.

It seems that it would of been fitted if the car was ordered new with a tow bar already fitted

As there are very few fitted at factory towbars around not many people would have seen them

Cheers
Andy

My 3.2 has a fluid to air cooler in front of the normal radiator, not a fluid to water cooler integrated into it, so they did change the cooler at some point. You can see the pipes heading over the top of the radiator.

Agreed that the standard cooling is adequate though. I have towed pretty close to max train weight climbing and descending hills and it was fine.

Kenlowe do a kit for the Omega for around 100 quid.

It fits nicely into the void forward of the O/S/F wheel-arch liner.
Although I didn't experience problems with my previous 2.0 auto, I felt that it was a worthwhile addition for caravanning.

My prefacelift 2.5 and mini facelift 2.5 have fluid/coolant heat exchangers in the radiator. My 2.6 facelift has a fluid/air heat exchanger between the condensor and the radiator, if my memory still works.
