Pressurising Coolant System
« on: 05 April 2009, 19:01:18 »

Hi all

This might sound like a stupid question but I may have to pressurise my coolant system to find a leak. (Advice taken from another post).

I would be putting a valve into a spare header tank cap to pump in pressure.  Is this a good idea? and what is a safe pressure range? as I dont want to do any damage, if it is possible to do any damage.

Thanks, Rob

That's a great way to find a leak. :y No more than about 1 BAR of pressure though.
