3 Button key
« on: 21 April 2009, 23:13:05 »

Only got the 1 key with the car so makes sense to buy a spare. Does anyone know if i can buy one from flea bay get a new blade then go up to my local vauxhall dealer to programme it in. Or do i have to go down the expensive path and order new key direct from Vauxhall
Ta :)

i dont know what happens to all there spare keys, it happens so often. I reckon they bin em and hope for the revenue on replacements.

Had exactly this with mine. Got the bliper for 35 from Vx. The Boy  on here did the rest for 10 or maybe 20 quid, cant remember. You need to give him the bliper, the car, and your car pass details. He supplied the blade and transponder and programmed it all with has magic tech2. Then just get the key cut to your existing one at any locksmith/key cutting place. Job done.

Others have got the bliper cheaper on egay i beleive, but i wanted to make sure it was new and the correct type. Hth

Be wary buying off Ebay, most sellers will list a 2 or 3 button remote and list every vauxhall model they can think of that it's suitble for.
Remotes are specific to models and whether it has standard factory alarm fitted or not.
I keep a stock of used and new remotes. PM me if you know which one you need.

Agreed. There are at least 3 different types of fob so it's a lottery on Ebay. Might as well buy from VX at that price but get one of the Tech 2 guys here to pair it to the car. :y
