2.6 oil leak

my 2.6 is leaking oil looks like its around the sump area is there any advice on where to look at where it could be coming from at all im not very engine minded ive been told it may be a rocker cover gaskets could this be correct ???

Could be. Whereabouts on the sump (presuming you mean the lip of the sump) is the oil?

to be honest its all over the sump i think with me driving the car its blew the oil back so its made it harder to see exactly where its coming from

Probably best to clean it all off and see whereabouts it starts for starters.

Have to be careful, it's been known to cause squeeling bearings in the aircon compressor.

I have used one of those aerosol tins of engine degreaser (engine needs to be hot) with good results. It's a lot easier if you take the undertray off - only four fixings.

It will be cam cover gaskets if they have never been changed
