P0725 and P1625

Hello

I changed the crank sensor to my Y26SE last week. The engine is now starting and running perfectly. No error codes can be found with pedal trick, (battery was disconnected during replacement of sensor). I bought later a cheap chinese Memo Scanner U480 (50 euro) and checked how it works. It reported the codes P0725 and P1625. The codes are read when ignition is on but engine not started. Does anyone of you what this means. Is it just that engine is not running or are these codes in the memory from history. The battery was disconnected about five days when I changed the sensor.

Just for info I decided to route the sensor cable like it originally was, between the oil cooling tubes and the block as I thought it is better that it "moves" together with the engine. The lower part of the cable was isolated with some kind of metal/isolation flexible tube. Let's see how long it last. I read that many of you recommend an alternative route.

can your reader clear them, then see what comes back in a few days?

OK, the reader can clean the codes so I do that and wait a couple of days. P0725 was found (actually it does not tell a lot) but what is this P1625, I did not find it anywhere...

Clear it. Occasionally you do get the odd spurious undocumented DTC, though I've never seen one come back

Erased the codes some days ago. They really did not come back (so far)

Gear box related  P0725 engine speed input circuit malfunction. The other code not listed. Would not worry if its not returned. Rolling road Dyno work can upset it as mine did.

Re crank sensor. Recommended routing is away from exhaust manifolds. Its the heat that causes failure of the cable. Did you use genuine GM? Pattern fail within months.

I replaced the crank sensor with similar one as the broken one. It was made by Bosch. It had a number (and text)

So it was ordered directly from Bosch stockist in Finland. Through spare part service the price was 89 Euro. The GM dealer asked 50% more. I hope that it is as genuine as it can be, what do you believe ?

The original route seemed to go first up along the block, then between the oil cooler tubes and block turning then to the center of V. I feel it is enough far away from exhaust. The original one last 120 000 km.

Do you think that this P7025 was stored at the same time when the crank sensor started to fail or do the transmission get the engine speed from somewhere else than from this crank sensor.

Sorry my bad English but what is "Rolling Road Dyno... I dont understand what this means. Please explain
