rear heater and heated mirrors
« on: 24 April 2009, 08:07:30 »

can anyone shed some light on this please....
about 6mths ago my rear window heater stopped working and my heated mirrors - as i gather they are linked.
oh, and both my ciggy lighters aren't working either.
with being out of the country for a while i never got round to looking at it, that was until earlier in the week.
i dismantled the centre of the dash to see if any of the wires had come loose or broke and all seems to in order. upon inspection of the actual switches which just pull out from their connectors it appears that the click has gone from the switch (the click it makes when you activate the switch for it to work). could it be that this needs replacing or is it likely to be something else.
as for the ciggy lighters, does anyone know which fuse it is on as i dont have a manual for the car yet!! (just ordered 1 from ebay)
thanks :y

Just looked it up, Fuse 11 covers heated mirrors. As Entwood said Fuse 14 does the rest. It is looking like the switch, easy to find a new one.

thanks guys for your help, have sorted the probs listed with the rear heater and ciggy lighters.
all this time and it was just a fuse. F14 was the 1 that runs most of this stuff - 30amp.
no need to replace the rear heater switch now.
thanks again
