Oil change at the weekend
« on: 29 April 2009, 11:08:45 »

Will be changing the oil and filter at the weekend along with some other jobs and was just wondering if anybody had any views on what oil to use.
Was thinking about  castrol magnetec.

Save the Castrol for oiling your wheel barrow!

Its pretty shite stuff.

The Vx semi synth is the ideal and good value on trade club (if you have access)

I would highly recommend you go for 10/40 GM semi-synthetic. :y :y

There is nothing to be gained from any other oil ;) ;) ;).

Yep Vx's own-brand 10/40 semi-synthetic is best.

My local stealers flog me 4 X 5 litre cans for around 34 quid - a bargain in my book!
Best to forget the over-rated, (and over-priced), Castrol stuff.
