Thanks for the Tech2 session TB, nice to know there isnt anything too serious to look at next week  :)

I've only put a few miles in since I saw you but whatever you did with the tickover has worked wonders. Nice and smooth now  :y

I think I've discovered the cause of the mystery alarm log too ... I park in a secure car park at work so I leave my tomtom windscreen mount in place during the day...sometimes I come back and its dropped off the screen, I reckon that might do it ! I'd just forgotten about it earlier ....  ::)

You're welcome, always good to see the local members :y

Good to hear that has sorted the idle thing - next time I see you, remind me to check the Block Learn values again (I struggle to remember every car I see  :-[), but they looked better at the end.

The Tomtom may explain the ultrasonic activation of alarm

Is the tech2 coming to York at the weekend TB?? Would be very interested to see it in action and compare it to the functionality of the "My Naff Code Reader" (not that the "My Naff Code Reader" will be in the same league I'm sure)

The legal, latest version of "My Naff Code Reader" is capable, and gets near Tech2 - some of the live data can seem sluggish, and its lack of TIS integration let it down.

The biggest let down of "My Naff Code Reader" is its stupid price - they would make a bloody fortune if they made it 'hobby/home mechanics' type price.  Reverse engineering a tech2 data stream isn't rocket science, so I think their price is unjustified.

and before anyone says anything about getting them cheap, if you paid less than £500, its a knocked off copy, thus illegal, thus we cannot allow dicussion here about acquiring/distribution/using these ones. We have to protect the forum legally, as the forum would not have the funds to pay for legal expenses.

Just checked, that code 19 hasnt come back since you cleared it TB. I've done about 500 miles since I saw you so fingers crossed its gone for good.

I will keep checking though....

Just picked up all the service parts £430 at TC prices, thank god for this forum (and ABS of course!) god only knows what the retail would have been....
