Just put my Omega through an MoT after a 4 year rebuild of the car and the lights have no beam pattern.

Was wondering if anyone knew any tricks for a temporary fix (sticky tape over the lens) or alternatively if anyone had some headlights I could borrow just for a few hours. I'd be happy to part with some cash for their rental but I really need to get the car through an MoT ASAP and don't have the cash to be able to purchase some new headlights.

Any assistance would be hugely appreciated.

I'm in Bristol but am happy to travel up to an hour to come and pick the headlights up (so long as you're fairly sure the lights are in good enough nick to get through an MoT).

no beam pattern...? are they set for continental driving or just not bright enough? :-/

It's the pattern i think.

The MoT chap showed me the beam pattern and rather than it looking like an ellipse with a large chunk cut out it was just a big orange blob.

Any ideas how I'd check to see if they were set for continental driving?

im guessing you have the old style ribbed lamps bud !
