The Bose system was only fitted to the Elite, (or other models as an extra).

The power amp was fitted beneth the rear parcel shelf. Extra speakers (woofers I think) were fitted in the parcel shelf, and extra tweeters were fitted in place of ash trays in the rear doors.

I suspect there was a different wiring harness in these cars, so fitting the amp and speakers to other models could be a PITA.

bose retro fit is fairly easy

if you already have a CCRT700 then go down that route (Fairly Common BOSe Head units)

if your existing head unit is a CCR/Car 4/6/5xx then its worth upgrading to a CCR800 with BOSE its alot easier than retro fitting the CCRT radio CCR800's are slightly rare but do come up now and then

as for fitting the amp if you get the full loom then its all plug & play wiring
