Mv6 power steering pump? (Newbie)

Hi everybody, done quick search but didn't find an answer, my problem is the PAS pump gave up at the weekend on my 98 Mv6.
My question is how many different pumps was fitted to the 3litre's and would 1 off a 2.5 omega fit? Thanks

2.5 2.6 3.0 and 3.2 will fit   :y

Thats good, seen 1 advertised as new genuine vauxhall pump on ebay, or i know of a 2.5 sitting for breaking could get the pump of it. It was a advert for PAS pump that said there was two different pumps for the 2.5 and 3.0, thats were a got the idea that there were maybe a few different set-ups.

From doing a bit more reseach(checked car parts direct) there seems to be 2 different pumps for x25xe and x30xe. The pumps are "Saginaw" and the "ZS" I think there is 2 more different pumps for the older models but doesn't apply to me.
Anybody know of differences and can i tell which i've got without taking the pump off?

just seek a replacement thats the same p/n as yours!

being an MV6 if its newer than 98 it will have the newer one probalbly

Hi,
I've got a 1999 Tourer 2.5 v6.  My PAS was u/s.  Got replacement from scrappy off a 3ltr v.6.

2.5 v6 PAS holes for mounting are clear straight thro.
3 ltr v6 PAS holes for mounting were threaded and the bolts wouldn't go thro.   Everything else ok.   so drilled thro.   Fitted. works a treat.  HTH :y
