IS THIS A SUSPENSION PROBLEM
« on: 06 May 2009, 21:54:56 »

hi guys yes me again needing your sound advice
ok i have just noticed a strange noise this may be because with the better weather my window is open so it could have been there for a while.
so when i drive over any deep ruts raised drains etc i can hear a metalic clanging type sound coming from the rear end drivers side with my limited knowledge i can find or see nothing nor can i re-create the noise by pushing down hard on the car.
i have wondered about suspension or related stuff
i can feel nothing different in the handling of the car she still drives and performs like a dream no bounce or anything
my boys advice has been turn the radio on or shut the window hmmm
so over to you guys if you have any ideas
many thanks this is a great site to get info
cheers paul

A set of kyb rear springs should only cost about £40pr pair, and you can do them yourself, have a look in the maint guides.

If your a bit diy its no big prob.  Theres a how to do in the Maintenance Guide for the springs ( Ive also got to replace them) new springs are round about £40 the pair. My Exhaust also had a couple of parts changed over and its got an anoying rattel but thats just one of the rubber thingybobbs, have to push it back in. hope that helps a bit. :y
