Used to use this method in Carlton/Senators etc for Power steering fluid and brake fluid as well, sook out as much as you can without creating a problem, top up with new fluid, repeat a couple of times a week.....it will re-fresh a fair bit of fluid through the systems

yup, your not wrong, and as you say, done like this not a tricky or expensive job.

to do sumps and new filters, 10 litres good atf, looking at about £80
less without filters and using instant gasket

yours guessing about £20 for a nice freshen up  :y

Takes half an hour to sook and re-fresh mate.....it might not be a lot but it should help a bit

It worked with the brake fluid on a GSi i had, brakes were rubbish....sooked and re-freshed the fluid about 4 or 5 times....was browny/black and horrid...4/5 times doing it got to the stage when the fluid i was sooking out was a better colour, brakes were much better and it was easy to do :y
