Are all pre-face lift calipers the same for the 2.5 and 3.0 engine sizes ???? I know that the disc size on some models are different and some are vented but i think these are the same a'm i right???

Yep....the only exception on front calipers was the 2.0 model year 1997 or earlier....from this point on ALL varients had the same front calipers.

do vented discs make a difference to the caliper width on the front Mark?

all omegas came with vented discs chris just the early 2.0 had smaller dia discs so smaller calipers  :y facelift 2.6/3.2 had vented on rear as well so again different calipers  :y
