Not sure only had 2 owners from new last once since 2005 looks ok. He also gives 3 months warranty so there is some comeback if it goes fubar
As someone who has worked extensively in the motortrade a warranty is a great thing for a dealer. They sell you one for several hundred quid when it only costs them £50-60. Check the warranty itself as many only cover certain components and under certain circumstances.
My dad just bought an Elite TD Estate with a manual gearbox and 118k on the clock 2 owners from new (last one an ex-traffic cop, 1st owner Vauxhall themselves), full Vauxhall service history for £925. Now that is a reasonable price given that you inevitably always have to outlay some cash on bits and pieces that you didnt notice when you bought it.
Get yourself down the car auctions and you will see cars like that going for £3-500. Last week I bought a 1999 Mondeo Estate 2.0 16v Zetec with 2 owners from new and 42000 miles (yes 42k!) and just serviced and MOT'd at 41k for £550.
Personally, unless you have fallen in love with that particular vehicle, as those in the trade would say, that price is retail. However some people prefer buying through a dealer and getting the warranty etc so it's horses for courses, but even for a dealer I think that's steep.
