Replacing Garrett Turbocharger
« on: 31 May 2009, 13:31:11 »

hi all - although I joined last year, this is my first post. Am looking for a how-to guide for replacing the turbo on my Omega (which is knackered, whistling and graunching and spewing smoke everywhere!)

Any tips, urls gratefully appreciated.

It's on the exhaust manifold - maybe better to remove entire manifold - you'll obviously have oil feed and return pipes to consider too.

Once off, you could send to Turbo technics for overhaul. You could also get a refurb kit yourself, but will probably need it balancing afterwards...
