Mass Air Flow sensor is located in the large pipe that comes out of the air filter box (its held in place by two jubilee clips).

Not sure how you would go about cleaning it, I just replaced mine with a second hand one when i had the same code. Been fine since.  :y

Very easy to get out. Undo the jubilee clip holding the pipe onto air filter box, then undo the one further down attached to MAF sensor. Remove the pipe then undo third one at the other end of the MAF sensor and remove the MAF sensor after disconnecting the wiring.

Not sure about how to clean it though!!  :y

Try brake cleaner spray. It leaves no residue.

i think you will find carb cleaner is the best way to clean your pipes .take the clip off the end nearist your air filter slide the pipe off start the car get someone to give it some high revs then spray the cleaner into the open end it will try cutting out so increase the revs that should clean your airflow meter !put every thing back  .start her up may splutter a bit but will clear .hope this helps :y

Are you getting any symptoms with the code.e.g. stalling approaching junctions? I tried cleaning mine and it didn't improve things at all. I ended up buying one off Ebay (£38) and it cured it.

Also remember that the code only means that the MAF is reading low. That doesn't automatically mean that the MAF is faulty. Check the induction and exhaust systems for air leaks before spending any money. :y
