OE Boot Spoiler on facelift Elite
« on: 04 June 2009, 11:59:48 »

Do any of you guys with more experience of taking off body bits than I have know how the OE boot spoiler is attached to the boot lid? Is it stuck on or held with clips/studs and nuts?

I had a very quick look after partially taking off the lid lining expecting to see fixings on the inside but can't see anything on a first (admittedly quick) look. Need to possibly respray spoiler as SWMBO shut lid by holding spoiler and scratching it with her wedding ring!!
Would be much easier to spray it off car for obvious reasons.
TIA

I think they are stuck on with body moulding tape, but some also put a couple of screws in as well to make sure it it secure.

Thanks for that, but can I ask then how, if they are just stuck on, how do you get the thing off without damaging the surrounding boot lid paintwork?
