Wonder if they got one ticket for the double yellow and another for the cycle lane or they could of left the car for 2 days a ticket for each.

There was a land rover parked near work and it had 12 tickets on it the traffic wardens around work are like bees never seen so many and they work fast.

You cant even park legally and not get a ticket in central london I got one and I was parked normal no yellows signs blah blah blah and argued for ages and ended up having to pay, they said i had a tire on a white end line of the parking square and we are talking about 2 cm here.

You Get A Parking Ticket I have seen it happen Someone broken with a note saying Broken down and a big fat parking ticket slapped next to it

Is it just me? If he had moved one car length forward, he wouldn't be on any lines and he'd be out of the cycle lane.  :-?

i dont get why there are 2 tickets, i was led to believe ticket issuers can only issue a car with one ticket, so i'm wondering whether the second ticket was left by an angry driver from a possible ticketed car parked in front maybe?

It''s bordering on Pay-and-Display so either way it's a penalty (not much free parking left in London...)

This is a known ditching point though, seen a 56 Astra left there for a couple of weeks on the pay-and-Display, and it attracted quite a few tickets before it disappeared...

Might be stolen, who knows....

Yes you do... a few years ago my car broke down (cambelt failed on a ford Escort, needed new engine...). It was on Saturday 1am so I put up a big cardboard on the inside of the windscreen saying 'broken down' and went home. Came back the following morning (Sunday) the car was gone... been taken to the car pond.

No way I could get the car back without paying, so I made an appointment with the AA at the car pond, and only after paying the fine (£125 it was at the time) the attendant allowed the recovery vehicle to enter the car pond and tow away the Escort.

I then wrote to Westminster Council and they wanted written confirmation from the AA that the car was not drivable. The AA sent me an incident report, but Westminster Council still refused the appeal because they said the report only said the car was towed away, but it does not say that it was not drivable (i.e. in Westminster Council opinion I could have asked the AA to tow-away a perfectly fit vehicle...). It took a few more letters and eventually the AA came up with the right wording and Westminster Council gave me the back the money.... but it took 6 months.
