front ash tray in my 2001 plate miggy will not stay shut, can not see how to remove, thinking there must be some sort of clip to hold shut any body removed one.

Hi, remove the ashtray insert, there is a screw in the centre behind ashtray, that's all that secures it.

removed ashtray insert but no centre screw, I want to remove the whole ashtray and wood fascia
