water temp question
« on: 13 June 2009, 10:24:36 »

my v6 mig is runnin about 92.5 degrees at tickover, and rises to about 97ish before the fan cuts in,once the temp has gone back down to 92.5 roughly how quickly should it go back up to 97ish if the car is stationary.also should there be any resistance in the water hoses when squeezed,i need to squeeze quite hard to get any movement.thanks

All sounds quite normal ...as long as it doesn,t go beyond 97.5 EVER I would not be unduly concerned.

mine runs at 100, but never over heats and the fans work fine, think calibration is out.

The system is pressurised remember, about 15 psi, so the hoses will feel hard-ish.  ::)
