I give up, Ineed some help with matrix pipes
« on: 28 June 2009, 13:12:29 »

ok I'm in the middle of doing my oil cooler, and I thought it would be a good Idea to remove the pipes to the heater matrix so I can flush eavery thing through, trouble is Ive read matchless guide (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1185891036) but my loocking rings allready seem to be unlocked (and it seems they push away to unlock not towards me as per the guide, is this righ?) I have the conector twisting freeley on the matrix pipe but it dosent pull off.

What am I doing wrong? :-/

got it, just goes to show I am as stupid as I look, after much re reading of the guide I realised that the locking rings wernt unlached and they do indeed pull towards you.

now to get on with flushigh thing through.  :)

ok so things were going a better, flushed the heater matrix both ways, whist I had most the hoses off I took out the hbp and hose's flushed all that and put it all back together. so time to start putting things back on the car new thermostat goes in and then whilst swearing at the basterd bolt I droped it and have lost the washer, cant seem to find it any whare allthough I cant get my hands down whare it droped and now I dont know what to do. :-[

Have you got one of those telescopic magnetic probe thingy's ???

Always useful for finding/picking up stray bits from inaccesible areas ... they are only a quid from those "£ shop" places .... or £5 from a "proper" tool place  :)
