New code,i think
« on: 29 June 2009, 19:08:19 »

As most of you know i already have my eml on due to the pre-cat efficiency being low.Today when pulling off in the car,i noticed it was sluttering a bit, then a few minutes later the eml started to flash for a couple of seconds,is that a warning that you have a new code stored, seeing as you wouldent know anyway because its alredy on.Also done pedal trick again, and discovered a new code(0300),besides pre-cat code, could this be a past code or a new one. :y

IIRC 0300 is a general missfire on one bank but I'll check it now.

It could be anything from a simple electrical glitch to a general miss due to the rain/heat. Just keep an eye on it in case it does it again.

0300 with no other 030x codes tends to point away from HT side of things...

Had a look at the beast today, and discovered a totally knackered coilpack on drivers side.Plug wells also full of oil,but passenger side in perfect condition. Can anyone shed a bit more light on the subject as to why this happens and is it anything to worry about,so on the lookout now for one if anyone is flooging one.  :( :y

Forgot to add, does anyone think this could be the possible cause of low pre-cat eff code flashing up. :'(

you need to change the rocker cover gasket mate. use kitchen roll or similar to remove oil from plug wells.

Not connected to the pre-cat issue, that is purely the pre-cat giving up the ghost.
