thought the engine mounts were silly-cone filled, would be kinda cool to think the wishbones are too, but never disected them. I'll have a slash in the scrapyard, to see.

After I've had a slash i'll probably cut up some suspension bushes too  :y

I think some are fluid filled and some aren't. I've replaced my wishbones a few times, sometimes there's some fluid leaking out. Other times the bush has disintegrated but is dry.

Did you replace the anti-roll bar link at the same time as these are a source for clunking too.
I have done now, job done.  :y

Ok everyone Bri's car has arrived at my house, for some reason I seem to have alot of mechanical knowledge on suspension, must be something to do with what i drive...

Anyhow, taking off the drivers wheel, I notice a bolt that goes through the bush at the rear of the wishbone, it has a nut at the bottom, and possible a bolt that is hidden in the subframe, it would need to 'go up' to release the rear of the wishbone.

Question: do we need to drop front subframe to change wishbones, to get to that bolt?

/not a vauxhall owner(yet), but more time spent under my car that what it deserves...
