Oil Pressure Switch
« on: 05 July 2009, 13:34:36 »

I have an oil leak which is dripping off the end of the oil pressure switch (I think). There is nothing above this point. I can't see any leak around the oil filter/heat exchanger or oil pump, although it could just be running this way. The question is can the switch itself leak or is it likely to be just a leak at the union - I didn't have a big enough spanner handy, so haven't tried simply tightening the union yet.

my wifes oil presure switch was  broke off were the cable was connected, it did not leak. I would say they would only leak around the seal but not from the contact, then again I'm no expert.

Quite cheap for genuine part, between £4 and £5 with trade discount.
