I don't use Vx branded oil myself, but I do use what the others are using.....10/40 Semi Synthetic.

Whatever you use it must meet or exceed the specs in the handbook.  In reality, this means any Semi Synth 10/40 or better.  Mineral oil will not make this grade.

Personally, I'd also avoid the Castrol oils.

I use the GM semi synth, mainly becuase its a good oil and a fantastic price (if you have access to Trade Club that is)

I also confirm that Vx 10/40 semi-synthetic is the oil you want Vx part no 093165216 for 5ltrs, and in June the offer of 4 x 5 ltrs for the price of three, @ £32.67, ex-vat with TC, was available.

I would add that if the previous owner has used full mineral oil then I would change the oil and filter, after initially filling with semi-synthetic, every 3-4,000 miles. ;) ;)
