where can i get a crank sensor for X25DT engine?

'95 2.5 td BMW straight 6 engine.quoted 95 quid from local Vauxhall parts dealer and would need to be ordered.None on eeebay.None at local motor factors.Anybody got or knows where i can get one(at a reasonable price!)

What about trying your nearest BMW people?
The engine is the M51D - (I think!)

You may well be pleasantly surprised cost-wise, I was when I got an oil-filter housing gasket from them. Good service too!
No harm in contacting them ......

Thanks,i will try them tomorrow.I will still be interested to know if anyone has or knows where to get one in case i have no luck with BMW dealer or elsewhere,seems to be hard to find for this engine.

Part Numbner 90487810 looks like only available from VXM and can do @ £64.45 + VAT :y

not that it makes a difference, but yours is a U25DT, not X25DT ;)

Pretty certain I gave my spare to Omegatoy

Thanks,BMW say £85 (would still have to order it)and the guy was really helpful,gave me a list of all the bm's that use the same sensor(quite a lot.)Still seems pricey for what it is and i never won the lottery this week so i,m still shopping around,(without any luck yet)..and did manage to break mine taking it out,was well jammed in,plastic's out of shape/swelled in the middle,that's why it was stuck. so cars off the road for now.
On the plus side my neighbour was well happy to take the fine copper wire that came out the broken bit for her jewelery making so at least i might end up with i nice necklace or a bangle!

After sending messages to 16 ebayers breaking omegas i got a reply from one(and a few no sorry we dont's) who has the correct sensor(sent me a picture of it too)28 quid posted for guaranteed Saturday delivery.not bad at all...if it works.whether it will sort my stalling problem dont know but at least car should be running again.Thanks to 'the boy(who wants a caravan?)for having a look for one and i'll update post with how it goes.

so cant think why ive had reason to have one off you???
