Crank sensor replaced- still stalling.
« on: 11 July 2009, 18:01:08 »

I have now replaced the crank sensor and the car is the same.
I still have codes 19 and 64.
It starts and runs fine but almost always at traffic lights when i put it into drive from neutral it stalls, when i restart it and put it into drive it doesnt stall.next set of lights the same again.
Also stalls at times when turning slowly e.g. reversing into my drive.
Any ideas?and its a 2.5TD Straight 6 engine.

Not sure about diesels but stalling when idling is usually Idle Control Valve (ICV) :y

have you checked the condition of your hoses? as if one of them has cracked it would cause this stalling problem.

Change the fuel filter.
Refill the new filter, (before fitting), with Comma Diesel Magic - around a fiver a bottle at Halfords!
See what happens ........
