Crank sensor, which would tie in.

thanks for the post bluehawk! i've just got back. it's great having a speedo again!   :y

car spluttered occasionally on full load but cruised fine.

so how hard is a crank sensor to source/change..... :(

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!

must be fate tho as I've not been on a motorway for ages, just spent a while with the spanners sorting suspension stuff,

and then the engine goes and gets gremlins!

ps James, bluehawk showed me why his 2.0 blew its head gasket.- a solid breather pipe! I take it when you did the lpg conversion you cleaned all that sort of stuff on mine? :y

i can't find reference to a crank sensor in the haynes :(

and looking here it seems a lot of effort to remove a bolt! :( http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/showthread.php?t=155691

i realise a lot of the early stuff is to get to the timing cover... but even after there's loads!
