engine noise

hi all just noticed when i blip the throttle when its sitting at idle it makes like a rattle nosie then goes away only does it at idle or when i floor it from a stand still its a auto it seems to be coming from the top of the engine its done 126k but still runs sweet apart from that should i be worried

Are you sure it's coming from the top end as it may be a cat heat shield that's come adrift which they invariably do :-/.

yip it defo sounds like its coming from the top n/s part could be wrong will check it out as i am new to the v6 and its set up thanks for the reply :)

Easiest way to be sure is to hold the heatshield with a screwdriver or pliers or something to save you getting burnt when someone else - or yourself - reaches in and blips the throttle pedal.    :y

I get a small noise also BUT it sounds more like a little
"sigh"..honestly...like a wimper almost.

Wonder if there is a connection ?
