Oh dear. The car is Mint! What a shame. It’s not worth me repairing, as I'm not mechanically minded so it looks cost inhibitive. Guess I'll have to ebay it for spares

Its worth checking that it really is the belt (or tensioner).

I think you can loosen off the timing belt cover and ease it back - you should be able to see the top of the belt...   or a mess.

You will get peanuts for it for spares mate...I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you fit a new engine if needed :y

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!
