ticking noise

hi alll
started to get a ticking noise ,its fine when  the engine is cold it only seems to do it when when the engine is hot but it comes and goes. when the engine is hot and idleling you can hear it but when you increase the revs tp 1000 it goes. its had a engine flush and oil change on saturday and its still there any idears anyone

It might be your cams, or I would say its a crummer

more than likely its the exhaust gasket...but thats usually worse when cold I believe...maybe ticking lifter disturbed by the oil change, thinner oil or something...if so regular oil changes with Vaux semi synth will resolve it :y

stopped the ticking by putting a lifter aditive in from halfords
and all is well
