How the hell can the authorities be serious about this? why arent the migrant workers forced to learn English?

Its the Migrants want to go to the UK, and  they are nothing but Economical refugees!

That on its own is not the problem, but now forcing our Police to learn Their Language is going a bit too far.

This sort of thing really grips my shit, it makes me so angry to see how the country is going down  hill.

Whats next?? oh i know lets change the name of the rather country after all there is not many British citizens left

MMMmmmm......................... , Well two weeks ago I appointed a company for a 1.7 million pound contract, and the day after our legal section sent an e-mail out stating there were concerns regaridng the said companies performance, I thought s**t . So after a few phone call to Head of legal, Head of Procurement etc., decided to pull them in for a meeting, sent them an e-mail listing all the areas of concern so they knew what information to provide at the meeting. Anyway did'nt expect them to say anything other than everything will be fine etc., etc.,.

Anyway one of my penultimate questions thats was'nt in my e-mail to them was, Can you advise me how many europeian operatives you will have on site, they looked at me kind of in amazement, I said well I went on site where europians are working and tried to explain to them who I am, and they could'nt understand a word of what I have said to them. The contractor said well we only employ europeians that can speak english due to Health & Safety.

They should have to learn the language before seeking employment.  It's like that in other countries, but over here its just getting pathetic...

Had a barmy with some polish idiot earlier too, couldn't understand a damn word he was saying but im sure he understood the pavement well enough - arse nearly ran me off the road driving like a dick and threw a bottle of coke out the window which hit the windscreen

No, I think we should all learn a few Polish phrases to help communication in tricky situations, to make them feel welcome. Phrases like :

"Sod off creep that's my parking space"
"In your dreams, Sh**head"
"Try that again and......"
"Who taught you to drive?, Was he blind/deaf/dumb ?"
Or the most important, according to Billy Connoly, is " F*CK O*F", with proper feeling to it. Its not what you say, but how you say it

Personally, I think its all absolute rowlocks....  A PolCorrect world going to hell in a handcart.....

Once the UK payscale etc balance flattens out, do we then have to consider the next influx of folks from whichever country sees the UK as a cash cow and we then have to learn that language as well?  

Given the multicultural history of the likes of the US, how many 'good ole boy' cops or troopers or others in public posts or positions have had to (or will have any intention of) brushing up on their German or French or Russian or Spanish or Lituanian or Polish or whatever language their forebears had?  Or Bangladeshi, Pakistani, African or (non) native American of the current crop?  

Also, how many speak the dialects etc of their native Indians?  Probably about as many Brits who speak Welsh or Gaelic!!

D - your quite correct....  I know enough Anglo Saxon and, combining suitable phrases of choice and appropriate hand actions, am able to make myself understood with ample sufficiency to cleave across any language barrier, be it national, international and, I would suggest, intergalactic, if required......
