He doesn't know yet, but I have volunteered Loo-knee to set the next quiz next Sunday, possibly before Top Gear so families can join in.
That is 1 week's notice, so plenty of time to arrange your teams.
After a couple of constructive comments made to me, a couple of new rules for the next one (we are still tweaking things):
Max of 3 forum members per team (to prevent unbalanced teams, and to encourage more teams). If more wives/family members want to join in, thats fine
Much shorter time to answer questions - there was too much web searches going on yesterday, which does render the quiz kinda pointless. With fewer team members, the hassles with everyone having their say is less of an issue.
Let's not forget the point here.
1. The banter amongst the teams between questions is the funniest, and best, part in my opinion. Max of three forum members will reduce the fun for me.
2. A team of four or five sitting around a PC is no different to four or five on MSN discussing answers.
3. If the timings per question are reduced, this will reduce the time for banter. It takes less than 10 seconds to do a Google search; there aren't any prizes as it's a bit of fun. If people want to cheat then that's up to them and their conscience, Captain Zok was logged into our MSN window last night and would have seen the answers posted immediately. Mike Dundee definately never Googled any answers (I hope).
We are in danger of over complicating things here IMHO. Just give people plenty of notice of when the quiz is going to be and let them sort out who they want to play with and whether or not the time is right for them.
I am happy to participate at any time. Saturdays are no problem but it doesn't go quiet here until the kids are in bed and that's not till after 9.00 pm.
