desperate help please egr fault..2.2dti

is it possible to disable egr by reprogramming ecu local dealer says no,if not if i just blank it off will eml go out when cleared.or do i have to buy new egr valve
                                please help

new egr if you can't clean yours enough

ok thanks ive sprayed wd40 in it and seems to be better,just wondered if theyres more
       permanent solution
