hiya all
 just starting a new thread here but it relates to my crankshaft pulley trouble.
while the pulley is off do you all think i should renew the oil seal? the car as done nearly 120k.
i`d welcome your views
off hand anybody know how much they are?

I would, while the crank pulley is off. I'd take the old one to a bearing/seal place rather than Vx though. Lip seals are generally cheap.  ;)

update.
fitted new seal and pulley along with new crank bolt
started it up but it just didnt sound right and seeing as the tensioner was a bit tricky to move i reckoned thats where i should start, firstly i ran the engine with the belt off and it sounded fine so replaced belt and tensioner for new ones and now it sounds great well for a diesel!!!!
i`m thinking maybe the crank pulley problem was down to a dodgy tensioner???????
