Drivers door bangs when l hit a pot hole

My drivers door makes a loud bang, clunk type noise when l hit a pot hole. lt sounds like the door isnt shut properly but it is. l have checked the latch and catch but they are tight.
Any ideas of what is loose ?.

Mine did this when I first bought it.  I moved the latch inwards so the door compressed the seals more and that stopped it.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.

Same here as above post try adjusting the striker plate.
Mine made a sort of sqeaking noise, as if the door was loose against the rubber sealing strip, drives you mad after a while, all sorted now.

I had a really annoying knocking on my doors when going over bumps, bizarrely enough it was cured with a bit of Vaseline on the door lock 'bar' (The fixed bar the lock 'bites around'.

Thanks for the info. l will look at adjusting the latch or striker plate.
