Timing Belt Change
« on: 03 September 2009, 09:20:37 »

Is it ok to use other brand of belt (OEM) aside from original VX.  The original cost too much here in the Philippines. An alternative is to use other  brands which are cheaper like Gates for example. Does this hold true for the bearings and waterpump?  Appreciate your advise. Thanks.

Both Gates and Contitech supply the kits to GM....so no issues with either of them
