Shock absorbers

Hi Guys and gals
Can any one recommend some good rear Shock absorbers for my 2002 2.6 Elite Saloon please as mine are starting to knock and i like to look after her :D

On my old estate i fitted Monroe's load levellers.gave same ride as standard and was much better when the back was loaded.At the moment I've uprated Janspeed fitted all round but with being 40mm lowered springs and 17" wheel these seem a bit hard for normal road use.

I got fed up with mine banging too. I decided to keep standard and bought a pair of self levelling shocks from Vx.

I think they were about £70 each on TC (They have been in the garage for months waiting for me to get around to it  :-[ )

Finally fitted them on saturday. Much quieter and seems more comfortable too. 8-)

Yes £70 plus VAT each from VX on TC - I am just about to do rears on my Elite - self levelling. Mine not knocking - just leaking.

Just found that mine are leaking grrr. £70+VAT thats not too bad, I'd best get some on order.

Does the Geo need to be re-done afterwards ?

Geometry will remain unchanged on rears, but changeing front shocks will upset it. Always best to mark the old shock and it's hub mount and try to accurately transfer or measure the mark on to the new shock.
You should get it reasonably accurate, but a freshly geo'd Mig with new shocks is always a pleasure to drive.  :y
