I think I have a similar problem, I have a Opel omega 2.2 auto -00
It "slips out of gear" when its about switch gear or is close to a gearchange. so i have to avoid staying close to these "switching zones" or i will have to manually put it in 3:rd to make it find the gears again which sometimes bumps so the gearbox jumps in to "safemode" (staying in highest gear at all times). giving a little extra gas at these zones seems to help slightly
Also accelerating hard until it should force a gearchange (high rpm) may cause it to loose gear, or may not change gear at all even if stay at high rpm
This can happen 10times in a halfhour drive, or once in a day.. but never 2 days in a row without a slip. It can happen in all gear switches, not restricted to any particular gear.
Oil, and filter has been changed, oillevel has been checked several times. I get 2 errorcodes, one listed as unknown and the other as "torque error" (use your imagination, i translated from swedish and im not sure if torque is the correct word :-/ )
So, is there any help for my beloved car? or do i have to get a new gearbox? and if so, is it the same box as in the 2,5 V6 ECO TEC? Because if found one of those "cheap" with extremly low milage.
Greatful for all/any help and please keep the language simple if you can since im swedish and not great with cars (except painting them

)
