rear springs

hi everyone just wanne ask if the rear springs on the 2.6 v6 03 plate are the same throughout the range ie series 1 and series 2 have got 1 broke n didnt wanna pay 338 + vat for a pair

Dont know if they are all the same but I needed a pair a couple of months ago,when I found out how much they were I went to the scrappy and got a pair for £20. ;)

£338 + VAT  :o   I think my rear springs were about £40 each all in a few months back (cant find the receipt). Did you mean £38 +vat each ?

No 330 plus vat. I called 2 vauxhall dealers and that is the prices they quoted!!!. Got a a pair of KYB springs from Ebay for £62!

unless you have quietly married paul mccartney and scored for a good settlement...dont pay .....try andrew page or some other motor factors

They are only £40 each brand spankers, and considering decent ones last 100k easy, seems a bit tight to get scrappy ones!

£80 is a lot of money to some people at times Tunnie.We dont all live at home with mummy and daddy.When you,ve lived a life, with its ups and downs you might realise. ;)

There is also the fact that the car may well get scrapped at the end of this year so I dont see the point of spending any more dosh than is necessary on it.

And I thought the £194 + VAT  I was quoted for the self levelling springs on my Elite was steep! :o

Its still false economy... as they are unknown. Scappy ones would most likey be rusted heavily as the car could have been sitting there for ages.

There are places to penny pinch, brakes & suspension are not.

Inspected after removal,wiped the crap off and pleased to find no rust etc,looked like brand new. :y
Car they came off had half the miles that mine did,under 70,000.
